PTO Committees & Chairs
Book Fair | Megan Herold
The Colina PTO presents a Scholastic book fair once a year in the fall. This event is usually held the week of Harvest Festival. The book fair is open before school, after school and during lunch recess times for all grade levels. The week ends with the book fair remaining open during the evening hours of Harvest Festival. Parents and students are invited to shop the book fair during these times. Proceeds from the book fair are used to support the Colina library.
Box Tops for Education | Marcella Alvarez
This is a national fundraising program for schools. The Committee Chair is responsible for printing and distributing collection sheets to students, and submitting completed collection sheets to Box Tops.

Our social media pages are a great way to stay connected to the PTO and to receive the latest news and information. The committee chair is responsible for updating the PTO social media pages with event information.
Family Dinner Nights | OPEN
Come support the Colina PTO by attending one of the monthly family dinner fundraising nights. Ahwatukee businesses give the PTO a portion of the proceeds from each of these events. This is a fun time to visit with friends and Colina teachers. The Committee chair is responsible for scheduling these dinners and printing and distributing flyers.

Join us as we celebrate our fifth graders taking their final walk down the halls of Colina!
Harvest Festival | Allie O'Rouke
The Harvest Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the year! Guests may come in costume and play games, collect candy and visit with friends and teachers. This event usually features food vendors, and is open to the whole family.

Multicultural Night | OPEN
This fun, free event invites your family to engage with and learn about other countries and cultures represented by families here at Colina!
Pack-A-Palooza | OPEN
The Coyote Pack-A-Palooza is the PTO's signature event. Formerly known as the Basket Auction, this event has grown over the years and has expanded to include a full evening of family entertainment. The event features donated raffle baskets, live auctions, multiple inflatables, food vendors, music, and activities such as crafts and face painting. Planning for this event begins in the fall. Volunteers can serve by assisting with planning, securing event sponsors and donations, booking vendors or simply by volunteering at a station for as little as 30 minutes or donating an item to be included in a raffle basket.
Shopping Rewards | Sarah Naughton
Support the Colina PTO by shopping with companies that donate sales back to organizations, such as the PTO. Volunteers help by organizing donation opportunities and creating and distributing flyers to inform the community of such opportunities.
Spirit Wear | Marcella Alvarez
Show your Colina Pride by purchasing a variety of spirit wear. The Chair for this committee communicates with the printing company to determine items to be available for purchase. The committee will also advertise items available and organize sales.
Staff Appreciation | Stephanie Cupp
This committee plans various events throughout the year to thank our staff. Typically, this committee provides a breakfast on the first day back for teachers, conference dinners in the fall and spring, it also plans for teacher appreciation week and a special luncheon on the last week of school.

Come support the Colina PTO and celebrate love and friendship by attending our family dinner dance! This is a fun time to visit with friends and Colina teachers. This event usually features food vendors, and is open to the whole family.

The PTO webmaster will update the website before the start of each new school year to reflect the current PTO calendar of events and board and committee make-up. The webmaster will also maintain the website throughout the year by completing updates in a timely manner so that the community can be informed of PTO events.
